Lloyd Diehl takes home his third prize by
identifying these as Tom Cook's kids, David and Sara. Tom shares the following
details: My kids, David and Sara, are adopted and both come from Korea. David came to us at 4 months in 1989 and Sara was about 4 months when she came over in 1992. It's interesting that adopting from Korea is actually easier and much more organized than adopting in the U.S. They are now U.S. citizens and although some people ask, they don't speak a word of Korean as of yet. Someday we hope to visit their birthplace. David loves baseball and has played in the Birmingham Little League for the last 5 years. Sara loves soccer and can't wait to start again this spring. Last year her team took first place. Both kids love to swim although so far I can't convince either to join our local swim club team. They also attend school in the Birmingham School district, David at Derby Middle School and Sara at Harlan Elementary. David is considering Brother Rice in a few years even without my input. |
